Popeye Village is one of Malta’s strangest attractions in the best possible way: a 1980 movie set that survived filming and became a family attraction above Anchor Bay. It is photogenic enough that many travellers stop only for the viewpoint, while families may spend several hours inside. Whether the entrance fee is worth it depends heavily on season, children’s ages and whether you want the included activities or simply the scenery.

Golden Bay and Għajn Tuffieħa sit side by side on Malta’s northwest coast, yet they create surprisingly different beach days. Golden Bay is easier, more developed and more convenient for families or anyone carrying beach gear. Għajn Tuffieħa feels wilder and more scenic, but reaching the sand means dealing with a long staircase and fewer facilities. If you have only one beach afternoon, choosing between them matters more than the map suggests.
