HOW WE WORK
Editorial Policy
My Malta Trip aims to publish clear, useful and trustworthy travel information for Malta, Gozo and Comino. These are the standards behind our guides.
Last revised: 10 September 2026.
Accuracy before volume
We prefer genuinely useful details to long lists padded with uncertain information. We do not invent experiences, prices, opening hours, transport schedules, facilities, accessibility claims or local rules simply to make an article longer.
Sources and verification
For facts that can change — such as tickets, transport, opening arrangements, visitor systems and official rules — we prioritise official operators, public authorities and primary sources. Secondary sources may be useful for context, but important practical claims should be checked against stronger evidence when available.
Writing for real travel decisions
Our destination and planning guides are built around realistic questions: how long journeys take, which places combine naturally, whether a base suits a family or a car-free trip, how seasonality affects a day and how much can reasonably fit into an itinerary.
Updates
Travel information is reviewed when a meaningful change is identified. We do not add artificial “updated” claims simply to make content appear newer. When an article is materially revised, the underlying information and recommendations should genuinely have been checked or improved.
Corrections
If we identify a factual error, we aim to correct it and review the surrounding advice so the article remains useful rather than changing a single sentence in isolation. Readers and local organisations can flag potential errors through the Contact page.
Affiliate and commercial relationships
Affiliate partnerships do not determine our editorial conclusions. Commercial links are marked appropriately, and sponsored or commissioned content should be disclosed clearly. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
Accommodation and activity recommendations
When we mention an accommodation area, hotel, tour or attraction, the aim is to help a traveller compare relevant options. Availability, management, service standards and prices can change, so readers should review recent provider information and booking conditions before purchasing.
AI-assisted workflows
Digital and AI-assisted tools may be used as part of research, drafting, organisation or quality-control workflows. They do not remove the need to check factual claims, avoid fabricated details and prioritise reliable sources for information that can change.
Reader trust
Our goal is to make the distinction between editorial guidance, official facts and commercial links clear enough that readers can make their own informed travel decisions.
